DFAC – CHARITY OF THE QUARTER
WE WILL DONATE $10 TO DFAC FOR EVERY RECEIVED REFERRAL
We still want to raise money for Dance for a Cure now more than ever! Dance for a cure has inspired and empowered hundreds of young dancers and performers with the realization that they can make a difference.
Despite the cancellation of their 15th Annual Dance for a Cure event this year due to the escalating concern of the Coronavirus outbreak, we want to do our best to help them move forward so they can continue to make a big impact to raise awareness and support the fight against cancer.
We know how much effort and dedication they’ve put in creating such an amazing event. It required not only time and effort from their staff and volunteers, but we also have to consider the costs they incurred with preparation and running the event.
Thank you DFAC for years of dedication showing beautiful dances and raising money for such an important cause. We will look forward to next year 2021!
What they do:
Dance for a Cure is an annual event and auction to raise awareness and support the fight against cancer. Dance for a Cure was inspired over 15 years ago by the Mo-dazz Executive Producer’s sister, who had over a 10-year battle with cancer. She is now cancer FREE! Dance for a Cure is run by volunteers and has raised almost $1,000,000 for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Pete Gross House!
Why we chose them:
This is the 15th year that Michele has taught dance at Elizabeth’s Dance Dimensions and choreographed for the Mo-dazz for the Arts dance company, who is responsible for organizing the event (www.dancedm.com). She is one of the choreographers and performers, stage manager and on the Board Committee for the event. This is a Mo-dazz for the Arts production! Michele has seen 1st hand how events like this one have directly helped our community!
